2 years ago, Nikkolas met the love of his life (Vanessa). 6 months ago, he realized it. Yesterday, they got married…and I photographed every moment. I basically felt like I was in an old Hollywood film the entire day.
The day began at her home in Korea Town — with lovely details, magical morning light, and the loveliest wedding dress hanging in the window.
Next, we were off to the gorgeous and historic Beverly Hills Courthouse. Though it was a Friday in Los Angeles, the streets were quiet and I swear it seemed like we had the entire place to ourselves. Just intimate enough for 50 excited close friends and family members to squeeze into the hallway and then the little chapel area.
It wouldn’t be a Cinco de Mayo wedding without margaritas, so the celebration was continued in West Hollywood at Gracias Madre. When you get to put down your camera, sit next to the groom and share a plate of nachos, you know it’s a good day.
This perfect day was wrapped up with pictures and adventures at the Griffith Observatory…making all of my minimal+clean line+negative space dreams come true. At times, it truly felt like we were floating in the clouds. Filled with movie moments.
Confession: I still haven’t seen “LaLaLand”. But I feel like I lived it. This day was certainly filled with movie moments. I am so honored and grateful to have captured this special day, and I can’t wait to see the rest of the adventures this beautiful couple will embark on. PS: I’m still craving nachos.
