“I fell in love with her courage, her sincerity, and her flaming self respect. And it’s these things I’d believe in, even if the whole world indulged in wild suspicions that she wasn’t all she should be. I love her and it is the beginning of everything.” -F. Scott Fitzgerald
Having a creative friend like Megan to do life with makes this world a better place, so I was beyond excited to do a photo session with her yesterday. This woman is one of the most talented, deeply spiritual, selflessly loving humans I have ever known. There is a sincerity in her eyes when she asks how you’re doing that begs the deeper questions and is ready to see beyond the facades. Allowing my lens to focus in on her authentic beauty was effortless and graceful.
When Megan arrived at my place, we couldn’t even move away from the door and sit down before getting into a 30 minute conversation about the joys and struggles of being artists and entrepreneurs, the pressures we feel as women in this generation, life, love, and how to continue growing. She is one of those humans who instantly makes life better as soon as she enters the room. The kind of woman that leaves you better than before. The kind that makes you want to be a better person and cultivates a revolution in the heart. The power in her presence is astounding.
As Megan was getting ready to head out, she handed me this tiny, precious, handmade paper envelope purse filled with notes. The envelope alone just about knocked me off my feet, as the whole crafty/adorable/paper girl craft thing is NOT a talent I possess. Little did I know that was just the beginning of one of the kindest gifts I’ve ever received. This woman’s heart is beyond me.
