Surprisingly enough, Trader Joes is by far one of my favorite places to find immaculate flowers and greenery for the home, and last week, I stumbled upon this new floral friend of mine I had never heard of. So, I decided to do some research on this special man.
Legends say that Sweet William acquired its name to honor the 18th century Prince William, Duke of Cumberland. Sweet William isn’t just enticing to me. He attracts the birds, the bees, and the butterflies. Apparently the flowers are considered edible, but I’m not so sure I’ll be taking a bite. I’ll stick to my Trader Joes snacks for that.
Regardless of the size of your home, I encourage you to get floral this week. It’s amazing how healing and powerful it is to have living flowers around you. It truly makes everything feel cozy and grounded. Finding the perfect vase can be daunting and expensive. I love painting old wine bottles, like the photo above, and finding unique glass jugs at thrift stores, like the photo below.
Consider inviting Sweet William into your home sometime soon. He won’t disappoint.
