First of all, happy national donut day, friends! Some of you may know that baking is one of my favorite things in the world to do. It’s creative, therapeutic, and tasty! When I ask my husband what he wants me to bake, his request is always cake pops…they are his favorite.

Making cake pops is fun, but it can be quite time consuming with the baking of a homemade cake, mixing it down to crumbs, adding in frosting, then proceeding with the chocolate and toppings. Some of my girl friends feel a bit intimated when it comes to baking, or simply don’t have the time!

You can make delicious cake pops and cut out many steps by celebrating donut day with these donut hole cake pops! Enjoy the super easy recipe below! πŸ™‚

Ingredients:
-A dozen donut holes in whatever flavors you select
-Melting chocolate in whatever color you like
-Sprinkles
-Lollipop sticks

Directions:
-Melt your chocolate. I don’t use a microwave, so I actually put my chocolate in a mason jar with the lid off, and place the jar in my crock pot turned onto high. Then, I add some water to my crock pot, coming about halfway to the jar.
-While the chocolate is melting, place your donut holes on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-Put in your lollipop sticks about halfway into the donut holes.
-Place the donuts in the freezer for about 20 minutes.
-Dip your donut hole sticks into the chocolate, and add your sprinkles. It should harden quickly.
-Once they are all done, place them back in the freezer for 20 more minutes, then in the fridge until you’re ready to serve them!
