5 Monday Morning Must-Haves

Monday’s don’t necessarily have the greatest reputation. Often times, we begin each week with dread, stress, and anxiety. For me, Mondays are usually my day to get life back in order…which means laundry, lots of cleaning, and catching up on work I seriously put off over the weekend.

I challenge you to give this week the amazing start it deserves! Because if we don’t begin well, we certainly won’t finish well. On this lovely Monday morning, I am going to share some of my favorite ways to give the week a positive start.

1. A hot cup of tea makes everything better.
I don’t really want to get any work done or have a conversation until I’ve had my cup of tea. There is just something about it…the aroma…feeling the warmth…watching the steam…and allowing it to sooth my body. My favorite Monday morning tea is Arbonne’s detox tea, which helps my body to refuel and refresh after a weekend of BBQ parties, cupcakes, and gelato last night. Sweets and gluten take a serious toll on my body, and this tea helps me to rejuvenate and start over with health and nutrition.

2. Candles change the home.
Our little home is filled with candles. In fact, my husband just recently got me a brand new candle for my birthday, and it has a lovely, light, water scent. It may seem silly, but I promise that when you take just a moment to light a couple of candles, it immediately makes everything feel more relaxing and homey! As I breath in the aroma of the candles on the coffee table, I gain a sense of calm in the midst of my morning to-do list.

3. The most important meal of the day.
A good, healthy, balanced breakfast is crucial to surviving a Monday with energy. I swear by my protein smoothie! It gives my body just the nutrition it needs, and it tastes incredible! Being vegan, gluten-free, packed with vitamins, nutrients, protein, and antioxidants, this smoothie is for everyone! All you need is:

-1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
-1 banana
-2 tbsp ground flaxseed
-1 cup of vanilla unsweetened almond milk
-1 serving of Arbonne all-natural vegan, gluten-free vanilla protein powder {20 grams of protein!}

Blend, serve, enjoy! The even easier way to get your Monday morning protein is that you can also just use the delicious Arbonne protein powder with water and ice! It is so yummy and nutritious!

4. Jesus Calling.
Jesus Calling is my little pink book of joy. Each day offers one small passage to read, and it truly inspires me and clears away my clouds of anxiety as I read it. This is typically what I read during my tea time as I am just waking up…this way, I can gain peace before anything else gets in my way.

5. The living word.
Monday morning isn’t the same without prioritizing my bible time. This year, I have been doing a bible reading plan to read through the bible in a year in chronological order, and it has been really amazing. Allowing God to reign over my week before other things like work, lists, and obstacles get in the way is absolutely life changing.
