Spring Break Style-On-A-Budget {His & Hers}

“A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period —
When March is scarcely here

A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels.

It waits upon the Lawn,
It shows the furthest Tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you…”

-Emily Dickinson, A Light Exists In Spring

Happy first day of spring, friends! Since it is now officially spring time, it is time for the boots and sweaters to say goodbye, and for the flip flops and tanks to say hello. Today’s style-on-a-budget is for the effortless traveler, the tourist who wants to look cute yet comfy. This look comes straight from my honeymoon in Mexico! Since it was my honeymoon, it’s only fair that I share my super hot husband’s style as well.

Steal My Look:
Sunglasses (A Spring Break Must)-Nine West at Marshall’s
Tribal Tank-Kohl’s
Navy Shorts-Forever 21
Classic Spring Flip Flops-Target
Backpack-Handmade in Mazatlan, Mexico (Got it on the trip for $10!)

Spring Hair & Makeup:
For spring break, go natural! Ditch the curling iron, blow dryer, and straightener that take up way too much room in your suitcase. Beach days call for boho messy buns.
Swap your foundation and lipstick for tinted moisturizer and tinted lipbalm with SPF.  I use organics from Physician’s Formula and I am obsessed with it. If you wear mascara, make it waterproof so that you don’t look like a drowned raccoon at the end of your beach day!
Don’t forget to wear lots of lotion for glowing skin!

Steal Nathan’s Look:
Tribal Tee, Navy Cargo Shorts, Belt, and Flip Flops-All From Target.
Sunglasses-One of Nathan’s Mexico souvenirs.

Hair:
Nathan swears by Crew products (the particular product he is using is called Crew Fiber). They give his amazing hair some flexible hold while keeping it soft (so it doesn’t feel like glue!).

Moisturizer:
Nivea energy lotion gives Nathan’s dry skin the all-day moisture that it needs!

Sunscreen:
Since my husband is basically a vampire, I bought Neutrogena’s SPF 100 (not kidding-it exists) waterproof, all day, non-greasy spray-on sunscreen. We were in Mexico for 10 days, and this porcelain skinned guy didn’t get one sunburn! Major new wife props? I think so.

But if you want to follow the latest fashion craze, simply throw on a super attractive, puffy, enormous, bright orange life vest for some serious style…
