Stories of Courage

Ever since I was a little girl, my attention was always captivated by stories of courage filled heroic characters be it in a film, musical, book, or television show. These stories of courage gave me hope when I felt small, weak, and alone.

My fiancé (writer, producer, and lead actor in Confessions of a Prodigal Son) grew up with the same heart for heroes. He has loved superman since he was a little boy, and has always strived to become a superman to everyone around him.

Our generation isn’t filled with very many role models or stories that involve strength, dignity, beauty, courage, grace, or redemption. Film and television are proven to be the main ways that the youth of our culture fill with messages and “truth.” So what are they hearing/seeing? What is seeping into their minds, hearts, and souls?

Will you pray as we continue to film Confessions of a Prodigal Son that God will open doors and bless this film so that our world can hear an important message.

A message that no matter where you’ve been, what you’ve done, or how you’ve fallen short, there is a love that is always waiting for you.
A message that says you can change and be made new, regardless of how many times you’ve stumbled.
A message of truth that no amount of drinking, popularity, or parties will fulfill you.
A message that you don’t have to run from your pain or mask it with short term quick fixes.
A message that believes in grace and redemption for everyone.
A message that says you can always return and come back home.

Our generation needs a story of courage. We will all encounter many villains and enemies, but we must never stop believing in the brave knights. Please pray for the brave, hard working cast and crew who are creating this film.
